Rise to Innovate.
I got to go to Vietnam for Girl Up's Rise to Innovate, part of their APAC Leadership Summit. A room full of young women from across the region who are building things and leading things. Exactly my kind of room.

I study Computer Science with a second major in Math at NUS. Most days I'm thinking about how to make AI models smaller and cheaper without making them dumber. That's what I worked on at Huawei for a year, and it's what most of my side projects come back to.
The other half of me lives at hackathons, summits, and in rooms full of people building things. I started FemSTEM in school to get more girls into tech, and I still care about that just as much. These days it looks like Women in Tech at NUS and heading to Vietnam for Girl Up.

We took 2nd at Apple's Spatial AI Hacks at the Developer Center. Then, instead of moving on like you normally would after a hackathon, we kept building. Now we're going into hospitals and sitting down with surgeons to figure out what it really needs to be.

The research year: DuoRate, 2-bit vision-language models, and a lot of staring at expert-routing plots. Plus a great group of people to do it with. The full story is on the Work page →

Got into Jane Street's invite-only First-Year Trading & Technology Program: mock market-making, probability classes from real traders, and a ferry ride with people I'd happily do it all again with.

Presented CostPerThought at the LaunchPad AI Symposium and made the finals of the Acacia AI LaunchPad Challenge. Explaining "dollars per correct answer" to a stream of curious people is a great way to find out if you actually understand your own project. See the project →

Podcasts with women in STEM, HTML and CSS lessons for 100+ girls, and a feature in the local news. It's where I figured out that I like teaching almost as much as building.
Helping run the community I wish every first-year woman in computing could walk straight into.
Building things with and for other student developers.
Ran app-dev workshops and organised the 10th GIIS Hackathon for 600+ students across 4 countries in APAC.
